Patrick Allen Group Hiring for FPGA Design Engineer Full Time

Our client, a well-established leader in the design and production of state-of-the-art testing equipment for the semiconductor industry, has an immediate opening for FPGA Design Engineer. This position will be responsible for FPGA design, simulation and support of the development process. Additional duties include developing the verification environment, writing test plans, requirements, and verifying the FGA functions on new system products.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyze and evaluate FPGA firmware system designs
• Implement digital filtering, digital signal processing algorithms, calibration algorithms, and navigation algorithms into FPGA design
• Support the development of the FPGA verification flow and methodology
• Support electrical circuit and schematics design for electrical PCB assembly when required
• Basic electrical circuit design analysis and schematics entry
• Test bench design and implementation
• Test plan definition
• Constrained random test development
• Coverage specification and analysis
• Reference model design and implementation

Position Qualifications:

• 3+ years of FPGA design experience with a proven track record of successfully verifying and delivering complex FPGA designs. A proven expert in FPGA system integration.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
• USB 2.0 and 3.0 soft IP experience
• Demonstrated expertise with Xilinx Vivado preferred
• General knowledge of current FPGA technologies and major suppliers specifically Xilinx.
• Possess a full understanding of design using VHDL or Verilog (prefer VHDL).
• Experience in configuration management using TFS, SVN or equivalent.
• Experience in using network analyzers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and similar hardware integration tools.
• Experience working in a requirement driven design process.
• Automation of the regression test suite
• Embedded Zycq experience a plus

Compensation: $130k to $150k
