Description
Nursing Support Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every Other Weekend
Job Summary
Works with and under a Registered Nurse (RN) to help care for patients. Supports patient comfort, safety, and daily needs.
Key Duties
- Help patients with bathing, eating, walking, and personal care
- Take and record vital signs
- Answer call lights and check on patients often
- Watch for changes in patient condition and report to the nurse
- Help with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Collect and transport lab specimens
- Keep patient rooms and care areas clean and stocked
- Follow safety, infection control, and privacy rules
- Be kind and respectful to patients, families, and coworkers
Requirements
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand and move during the shift
