Overview:
In this role, responsibilities include leading the Talent Management function and overseeing the design, implementation, administration and overall success of policies and programs that support effective talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, and leadership/manager development across the organization. Responsible for optimizing human capital to enable the organization to drive short- and long- term results by building culture, engagement, capability, and capacity through integrated solutions aligned to business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Creates, delivers, and manages a broad array of programs to attract, develop and retain organizational talent. Specific areas include talent management, performance management, and engagement programs.
- Partners with HR and business leaders to align talent strategies to meet business and functional priorities. Supports and consults on organization design and effectiveness with business leaders.
- Analyzes performance, assessment, and talent data, to facilitate performance and planning/calibration sessions and addresses talent gaps. Ensures performance management systems and development plans bring focus to higher levels of individual performance and align performance across the organization.
- Leads talent reviews and succession planning activities, define, and implement actions coming from those processes; build processes that drive more frequent rhythm within business to stay focused on our talent between annual cycles.
- In partnership with the HR Division, provides comprehensive career development programs and succession planning processes that ensure significant career opportunities for high performing employees.
- Creates strategic sourcing strategy and drives continuous improvement in recruitment processes to minimize costs and ensures the best talent is in the right place at the right time. Ensures talent acquisition processes support AAP plans and compliance.
- Responsible for overseeing employee relations matters, litigation, investigations, etc.
- Leads a team of Individual Contributors by setting overall program initiatives, allocating financial and human capital for programs and projects, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of talent management programs.
- Ensure workforce planning is integrated with strategy and budget planning processes. Work with Division and key leaders to ensure workforce plans are maintained on a regular basis.
- Maintain strong relations with business leaders to ensure talent management processes and practices are aligned with the organization.
- Set, monitor, and share appropriate workforce analytics and insights to drive human capital and business optimization.
- Provides business management expertise to measure business impact, return on investment, and other relevant metrics, ensuring business process execution from beginning to end. Identifies/incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
- Oversees the design, administration and delivery of total rewards strategy that ensures competitive positioning and cost effectiveness in order to attract, retain and reward talent.
- Complements job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining current on industry trends. Monitor external trends that may impact access to talent and develop leading edge capabilities to attract and retain the best talent.
- Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Management-related course or equivalent, Master’s degree preferred, PHR or SPHR preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in Human Resources, with strong employee relations and talent management background
- Experience driving successful talent strategies and change across an organization
- Proficient in MS applications
- Public speaking or facilitation experience with a large audience highly preferred
