Pate Construction Co Hiring for Excavator/Backhoe Operator at Colorado Springs, CO Full Time

Must be able to interview in person in our Pueblo West office.

Experience with Mainline Water/Sewer construction jobs.

We currently have immediate openings for Excavator/Backhoe operators. Candidates must know how to perform a safety inspection to verify equipment is safe to operate. Communicate any concerns or improperly operating equipment to foreman, superintendent, or equipment manager.

• Clean cab and undercarriage daily
• Assist in setting line / grade of excavation if necessary.
• Be able to recognize changing ground conditions during
• Assist in restoring the excavation site back to original condition.
• Assist ground employees and other equipment operators as needed to ensure a quality product.

• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess and maintain a valid State issued Driver’s License. Able to receive and maintain a favorable Local Background Check (LBC), National Agency Check (NAC) and negative drug screen as applicable to the position requirements, current and future.
• EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent
• EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years with underground utilities.
• SECONDARY DUTY: Other duties as assigned by the Foreman and / or Superintendent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 – $36.00 per hour
