Your job, though, is to help them figure out what comes next. After getting in – whether to college, medical school, graduate school or residency – our students need help figuring out the best ways to pay for their programs, whether that be taking out private loans, public loans, or some combination of family assets.

Since 2007, Passport Admissions has helped 2000+ students get in to competitive colleges and graduate schools. We have a rock star administrative team running this enterprise: a director of operations to make sure that our applicants are well taken care of, a director of marketing to help spread the word on social media, and a talented team of editors and advisors to share the energy and our cumulative knowledge of the application process.

We want your help in designing and executing our financial aid coaching program.

Job Perks:

• Impactful work with students and families

• Flexible hours: 10-20 hours/week – some afternoon/evening/weekend work required, but you can set your own schedule for number of hours and specific days

• 100% remote work – we’re based in San Diego but our team is distributed across the United States

• Flexible responsibilities: take on as many or as few students as you want to handle

• Pay: $55-$65 an hour for work with students, $25 an hour for training and prep work

• Extensive training and support from a close-knit team

Job responsibilities:

• To coach ~40-50 students and families through the financial aid process each year. Roughly half of them will have just gotten into medical school, with the rest a mix of college and graduate school.

• To develop the coaching program you will be using as we build it. This includes making spreadsheets, developing a curriculum, and gathering other resources and information for our students to use in making their decisions.

• To maintain and build your expertise by reading relevant blogs, articles, and professional publications

• To respond promptly to applicants, prospects, and staff within one business day

• To hold regular office hours, available to applicants and prospects

• To deliver online webinars

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• Previous financial aid and/or financial coaching experience

• Demonstrated presentation skills

• Fluency in using and building spreadsheets to assist with financial decision-making

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Fluency with modern technology

• Prompt and grammatically correct communication skills
