We are looking for GCSE chemistry and physics tutors/teachers to teach online classes to our students.

Pass GCSE science specialises in teaching science to secondary school students from age 11 to 18. We are a rapidly growing organisation and are looking for tutors to join our team in delivering top-quality science tuition to our clients.

We are looking for teachers who are committed, have a passion for teaching & for working with students; and are willing to commit for a minimum of six months.

More about the position:

· We provide secondary school tuition for individuals and in small groups

· Lessons are typically 1 hour long

· Lessons take place online

· You should be confident to teach KS3 science as well as at least one science specialism at GCSE or A-Level

· Please note that our tutors are self-employed

As a Tutor, your main responsibilities will involve:

· Teaching science to KS3 students 1 to 1 or in a small-group setting

· Teaching at least one science specialism (Chemistry or Physics) at GCSE 1 to 1 or in a small-group setting

· Teaching study skills and test-taking strategies.

· Monitor and record student’s homework, attendance, and progress, ensuring confidentiality of all records.

· Work through homework questions/problems and give feedback in the lesson

· Participate in training and development sessions to improve tutoring practices and/or learn new tutoring techniques.

· Prepare tailored lesson plans, learning modules, or other study plans where necessary in line with students’ needs and goals.

Requirement

· Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum.

· QTS or have relevant experience

· Have recent experience in teaching and/or tutoring

· The ability to work to the school’s scheme of work and provide constructive and effective feedback

· Our tutors must have a passion for teaching and learning

· You must have a science degree or have a good amount of experience tutoring GCSE chemistry or physics.

· Important: You must be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week and have the flexibility to start from 1 hour a week and gradually work your way up to 10 hours +
