Summary:

The Division Controller is a hands-on position that will be responsible for all activities of the finance and accounting function, including cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, forecasting and budgeting. The position reports to the Plant Manager and provides direct support to Accounting, Finance, Purchasing, Planning, and Plant Operations.

The Role

• Responsible for all financial reporting, tax reporting, internal controls and cost accounting
• Prepare all financial reports, forecasts, profit and loss statements and any other financial reports as needed.
• Communicate with all department managers to complete daily, weekly, monthly and year-end reports for operations and division management
• Assist in strategy development in the operation to ensure financial integrity
• Practice and support continuous improvement in finance and accounting processes.
• Organize financial vision and strategies that are in alignment with the overall strategic direction of the parent corporation and in compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Maintain adequate risk management-based internal controls
• Provide business analysis on trends, issues and developments which could impact the organization and operation.
• Report on periodic variances and their causes, along with recommendations to minimize variances.
• Interact with internal/external auditors to provide information, analysis and work to ensure compliance internal control policies.
• Ad hoc reporting and other tasks as needed.

The Candidate

• BS/BA in Finance or Accounting required
• Minimum of 5+ years in a controller role, in a manufacturing environment cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Sound working knowledge of US GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Strong mathematical, accounting, finance, and analytical skills
• Experience working with an international company and with staff from various global locations.
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience in driving process improvement or implementation and preparation of SOP’s.
• Experience with ERP systems, Great Plains preferred, inventory management systems and Standard MS Office Applications – Excel (especially pivot tables and VLOOKUP), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

Base : $130-150K up to negotiable DOE
