Parramatta City Council Hiring for Recruitment Advisor Job at Parramatta Full Time

In this role you will be reporting to the Talent Acquisition Team Leader and contributing across Council as a member of a dynamic People and Culture (P&C) Team.

This position is responsible for the provision of recruitment support across Council and supporting the design, development, delivery and continuous improvement of Talent Acquisition related services including policies, procedures, forms and tools to support managers and employees across the business.

As a trusted advisor of the Talent Acquisition Team and a key member of the P&C Advise and Services Team, the successful candidate will be focused on the implementation and development of effective tools and methods, including online recruitment tools to assist Managers with effective and efficient recruitment.

About the Role

Recruitment is cyclical and in this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to become the subject matter expert across end to end recruitment for Council.

The role encompasses the following activities:

• Coordinating advertisements
• Participating in panel interviews
• Compiling job packs
• Coordinating pre-employment checks
• Coordinate daily recruitment process through internal recruitment system
• Advise hiring managers on best practice, process and policy

About the Person

The successful candidate will support the Talent Acquisition Team Leader in the continues improvement of talent acquisition processes and procedures.

Some key attributes for your success in this role include:

• Ability to build effective working relationships
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated understanding of HR policies and practices in order to understand the linkages between Talent Acquisition and other HR practice areas
• Sound knowledge and understanding of Legislation that governs recruitment

Experience

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting and coordinating recruitment processes in a medium to large diverse organisation
• Previous experience with online recruitment tools and advertising tools
• Demonstrated experience preparing job advertisements and other recruitment process
