About the Role

The City of Parramatta has built a strong asset management framework and has an advanced level of maturity with Asset Management. This role is unique as you sit in the Council finance department and work closely with the asset owners to develop the asset management framework.

This position is responsible for strategic asset management and capital portfolio management frameworks, strategies, policies, plans, and performance reporting to ensure asset investment and performance delivers a level of service the community is willing to pay for

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for asset management plans and quality of asset information working with the financial accounting team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Develop and lead asset management strategy, policy, and plans.
• Manage asset condition assessments for valuation as per AASB116.
• Manage the delivery of asset-related financial reports including asset revaluations, Special Schedule 7, or asset planning elements.
• Prepare and review assets for annual financial statements and other regulatory returns and liaise with the Audit Office of NSW.

About the person

The successful candidate should have previous experience of 10+ years of relevant asset management experience developing and implementing asset management strategies, plans, policies, systems, and processes.

It would be preferred for applicants to have experience in working in finance

• Advanced MS Suite skills, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint and Excel.
• Technology One Enterprise Asset System or similar
• Extensive experience and understanding of ISO 55000 Asset Management Standards. Demonstrated experience and ability to implement NAMS and IIMM guidelines for asset management planning and requirements of OLG Integrated Planning & Reporting Framework.
• Highly advanced asset management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
