About the Role
This position is responsible for Meals on Wheels kitchen duties, receptionist, and administration support in the Community Care Team. These teams are involved in a wide variety of work across the community, so this role is an important enabler through highly responsive customer service, sound processes, attention to detail and flexible support to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Services are to be delivered within a Person-Centred Approach and focus.
On a daily basis, you will provide professional, timely, accurate and courteous receptionist, customer service and administration support, using IT systems and applications at an advanced level, with focus on teamwork and shared accountabilities. There is a rotational roster for kitchen distribution duties, so the need to work at various locations.
Kitchen duties include lifting, rotation of stock / stocktake, ordering, high attention to detail in packing against allergens and adhering to critical time constraints, plus daily cleaning. Switchboard operations daily administration support using software applications including TRIM, Pathway, CiviCRM and Microsoft suite of products at an advanced level. Data entry and reconciliation plus data manipulation for reporting purposes. Raising Purchase Orders and Receipting in line with council processes.
About the Person
The successful applicant will have a minimum two years previous experience in administration and demonstrated advanced skill level experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite of software. Early adoption of internal business technology will be required, including some accounting tasks. A current Drivers Licence is required.
It would be preferred but not essential for applicants to have experience in the Community Sector working with people from diverse backgrounds and a Certificate 4 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
What’s on Offer
This is a temporary full-time position until end of February 2022. We are offering an attractive salary from $59,941.56 p.a. plus Super. City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which can be accessed by the successful candidate.
