Role Purpose:

To be a trusted business partner within the Veriflo Division to continuously improve our culture of engagement, innovation and teamwork and to help the Division achieve exceptional performance by providing premier HR service whilst maximizing the potential of all our people.

Main duties:

Act as a business partner understanding the needs of the business and supporting Division HR Manager in implementing the HR strategy in line with Division objectives to deliver the following:

Talent Acquisition

• Manage the entire recruitment and selection process (for both salaried and hourly roles as required
• Work with hiring managers to devise suitable assessment and selection methods to ensure the recruitment of talent and manage the interview process.
• Facilitate new hire orientations and onboarding
• Manage the relationships with recruitment agencies on a regular basis to ensure requirements are met and recruitment costs are managed effectively within budget.
• Manage the apprenticeship and summer internship programs as appropriate

Talent Development

• Assist with the implementation and development of High-Performance Teams with a focus on driving productivity.
• Advise managers on performance management issues with a focus on establishing standards of performance and effective feedback and monitoring in order to assist individuals return to an effective performance level.
• Support the Learning & Development activities with the delivery of management development programs as and when required.

Talent Retention

• Work closely with managers to ensure the highest levels of attendance and timekeeping are achieved.
• Carry out all investigation meetings and disciplinaries in line with the absence management policy.
• Manage all aspects of retirement and maternity leave.
• Conduct and analyze absence management reporting and communicate absence levels and costs to departmental managers.
• Conduct exit interviews and ensure feedback is used to drive continuous improvement
• Assist with change management activities such as restructuring.

Employee Engagement

• Assist with Employee Engagement survey planning, reviewing and communication of results
• Facilitate employee engagement focus groups to understand results using problem solving techniques
• Assist with the development of action plans to address improvement opportunities
• Lead Tucson Employee Engagement Team and ensure timely Action Plan completion

Employee Relations

• Support the investigation process for grievances and disciplinaries
• Provide managers with support, guidance and clarification on all matters related to people management issues and ensure that a consistent legislative approach is taken in each case

Health & Safety

• Work closely with the H&S Leader to help to minimize accidents at work
• Manage the co-ordination of all H&S related claims

Additional

• Assume responsibility for the update of the metrics on the Team Improvement Board and identify trends and opportunities
• Ensure all payroll processing requirements are professionally managed
• Ensure all necessary personnel records and systems are kept up to date and maintained to the standard required.
• HR administration and reporting as and when required

Job holder requirements:

• The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
• 2 to 4+ years proven experience in HR, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience of working in a HR Generalist role
• The position requires thorough knowledge of human resources-related laws and legal issues and the ability to apply them effectively to employment situations
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to forge good working relationships at all levels within the organisation
• Innovative and willing to drive continuous improvement within HR Function
• Structured approach with strong planning and organisational skills
• Flexible to accommodate ever changing working environment and demands placed upon it in a positive manner
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Exceptional attention to detail

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
