Summary

The Help Desk Support Technician will be the first point of contact for technical support for the external customers of our company. We are an EMR partner that provide a full suite of physician’s IT services to hospitals, IPAs and small and medium sized practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide first and second level support on computer hardware and software issues on Microsoft platforms.
• Ensure timely recording, tracking, escalation and resolution of end-user technical problems and requirements received via telephone and e-mail.
• Record all calls in the Technology Ticket Management System as per escalation procedures and priority settings and assign to appropriate Technology staff member.
• Handle scheduled software upgrades and patches.
• Perform general administrative duties for department as needed.
• Assist in documenting and communicating user/technical service policies for products supported by the Help Desk.
• Develop reference and training materials and provide end-user training.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Experience within the Information Technology industry in a support capacity.
• A diploma or certificate in a technical related area would be an asset.
• Strong competence in the Microsoft Ecosystem (Office, Remote Desktop, Server, Desktop OS).
• Entry Level Linux/Unix knowledge is a bonus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
• Highly organized, detailed and multi-task oriented, with the ability to balance priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to interact in a professional and friendly manner with end users at all levels within the organization.
• Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills coupled with a willingness to learn.

• Monday to Friday – 11:00AM EST – 8PM EST

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $45,000.00 per year
