Full-Time District Substitute Teacher Job Description

Schedule: A full-time district substitute teacher must be available for work each and every school day. The substitute teacher must be available for assignment at any Park Hill School District location and in any grade level or subject.

Purpose: A full-time substitute teacher is responsible for providing instruction, managing the classroom environment, and promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Organizational Relationships: Works under the direction of the Building Principals and the Substitute Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaches scheduled classes. Prepares a written summary of work
• Assumes all duties and responsibilities of the absent
• Follows the teacher’s written lesson plans. Consults with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidate must hold a current Missouri Teaching certificate or valid Substitute certificate.

Work Environment:
