DESCRIPTION OF PARK AVENUE SYNAGOGUE:

Park Avenue Synagogue (PAS) is one of the largest Conservative congregations in North

America. Located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the synagogue includes staff of more than

160 talented individuals, who together with our world-class clergy team, serve a membership of

over 1,800 households. Our thriving Adult Programming, Penn Family Early Childhood Center,

Congregational School, Youth, and Young Family Education departments provide high quality

and inclusive Jewish educational, social, and worship opportunities to our members and the

community at large.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Director of Communications, the Digital Marketing Manager

(DMM) coordinates and manages all aspects of Park Avenue Synagogue’s digital marketing,

communications, and social media campaigns, including managing our social media presence,

and other online marketing efforts. The DMM will analyze the performance of email, social

media, and website listings. This position is currently hybrid working 3 days in the office/2 days

remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops social media strategies, copy, calendar, and engaging content across a wide

variety of platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vimeo, and YouTube.

• Create strategies, manage comments, and share best practices in social media

engagement.

• Manage postings on PAS Vimeo Channel and weekly Podcast and optimize with succinct

copy.

• Along with Communications Project Manager, manage day-to-day operations and

content of Park Avenue Synagogue website, ensuring content is accurate and on message

for the organization.

• Builds and produces emails within templates based off edited copy.
• Utilizes A / B testing for emails to create a sound strategy moving forward.
• Tracks, monitors and analyze analytics across all our platforms including livestream,

• Creates and monitors advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram and Google

Adwords and as needed.

• PAS has adopted a COVID-19 vaccination policy to safeguard the health and

QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3+ years.
• Hands-on self-starter who works well within a fast-paced environment and

Photoshop, Google AdWords, Adobe Creative Suite, and rich media preferred.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

Expected salary range for this position: $70, 000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience

and skills. A comprehensive benefits package, including Health Insurance, Health Saving
