The Role

Reporting to the Group’s Financial Controller and Parcel Property two General Managers, you will lead your team in providing the highest level of financial support, advice, analysis across the company.

The position is an integral part of the senior management of the business that will be expected to display strong leadership and execution of strategy.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

• Full responsibility for the day to day management of the accounting and finance team, along with the management of the payroll, AR and AP functions
• All financial management reporting, budgeting and rolling forecasts & cash flow management
• Preparation of year-end work papers for income tax, FBT and audit
• Day to day compliance program (BAS, ITR, TPAR etc) in partnership with external tax accountant
• Is responsible for setting the financial disciplines for the company
• Proactive involvement with workload, development and performance management of accounting staff
• Total engagement with accounting staff to ensure they understand the company’s strategic direction and benefits of the execution

You

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Fully Qualified CA or CPA
• Property development experience
• Management experience (Desirable)
• Experience with investor boards and syndicate groups across a large portfolio of projects.
• Experience in a similar position (experience within property development highly regarded)
• Outstanding leadership capability to engage all members of your team
• Ability to structure accounts team to support corporate and operational activities
• Can build strong networks both internally and externally (including ABN Support) and interact with all levels of management and across a range of functions
• Proven track record of change management involvement.
