WHAT IS THE ROLE

The HR Advisor role is a key role within the International HR Team and is important for the day-to-day functioning of the HR department, taking an advisory role on best practices for recruitment and retention of staff as well as general HR services. The International HR team is responsible for using data and insight to devise people solutions, which drive business performance. The successful candidate will partner with the International client groups undergoing significant change and transformation. They will deputise for the HRBP and lead and contribute to projects impacting the wider Paramount business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders and the wider business advising on all areas of the employment life cycle
• Provide support, advice and guidance to the business in all employee relations matters. Collaborating where necessary with external and internal legal counsel
• Proactively build people management capability across the client group to enable line managers to confidently and autonomously handle people issues
• Apply judgement to individual cases and give advice to HRBP on solutions
• Identify and manage and/or escalate risks, trends and opportunities
• Actively participate in ad hoc HR projects and initiatives as necessary
• Build HR data, analyse trends and proactively recommend actions for designated client group
• Work closely and partner with the International H BP and the local HR teams in multiple territories for local HR and employee law insight
• Mentor more junior members of the HR Team that sit within the wider department, most specifically in the People Hub within our Ops Team

WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED

• Proven track record at an HR Advisor level, within a fast paced, matrix environment is preferable
• Understanding business goals and alignment with business strategy
• Solid technical HR and employment legislation knowledge, with the ability to flex this knowledge for business needs
• Ability to adapt to different working environments and cultures and able to cope with ambiguity
• Ability to think beyond immediate day to day issues and understanding of the wider People landscape
• A strong team player and collaborator across the HR Communities of Excellence
• Ability to plan, challenge and innovate to help achieve the business objective
• Ability to flex and adapt to changing situations and challenges
