Paragon Skills Hiring for Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship – Ringwood at Ringwood, OK Full Time

The aim of the Student Support Department is to provide all students with whatever additional support they may need during their time at Ringwood School, in order that they can achieve to the best of their ability. You will be trained to Level 3 and fully supported throughout your apprenticeship.

Key responsibilities

• In-class support of students with a wide range of special educational needs
• Working with individuals and small groups in the Student Support base (known in school as The Hive)
• Following specific intervention programmes, dependent on experience and areas of expertise
• Supporting students with homework at lunchtimes or after school
• Differentiating teaching materials
• Liaising with subject staff
• Reading and / or scribing for students sitting tests and external examinations
• Completing s for review meetings
• Taking part in in-service training and attending department meetings
• Contributing to meetings with parents and external professionals as necessary
• Supporting the students in working towards their targets
