Paragon Farms is Looking for Farm Worker Full Time

A local area hog farm operation in the Kincardine area is looking for individuals to work as a breeding and farrowing technician. We are looking for both experienced and non experienced people. We encourage individuals with no experience and looking for a change in careers to apply as well. We are willing to train any candidates who are motivated to learn and that have a good work ethic.

Job Duties:(but not limited to)

-feeding and watering of sows

-detecting heat patterns in sows and performing artificial insemination

-monitoring and maintaining herd health and vaccinations

-moving sows using safe and, humane practices

-monitor and assist in the farrowing(birthing) process

-process, and medicate piglets

-power washing and cleaning of barn

-maintaining records

-general maintenance

-perform other duties as required

Other:

-Candidates must be able to work in a fast-past environment, be on their feet for extended periods of time, handling heavy loads, and work well with others and independently

-Experience in agriculture is an asset

-We are also willing to train anyone with a willingness to learn and that has a strong work ethic

– This is a full time, Permanent position with 40-50hrs of work available per week.

Compensation:

-Competitive Wages, hourly rate depends on experience with a starting range of $16.50-$21/hr, we also have a Quarterly bonus program, Full Benefits, and RRSP contribution

We offer the opportunity to potential candidates to take a tour of our farm which helps to answer questions, and provides a more detailed look of tasks and the working environment.
