PaperCut Software Hiring for Test Automation Engineer Job at Melbourne Full Time

PaperCut is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to. Are you looking for a QA role in a dev team working on new products? If so, this is the role for you!

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you’ll be an important part of our quality team, who are hyper-focused on building PaperCut’s automation test suite to allow engineers to ensure software quality. As part of the quality team, you will collaborate with multiple product teams across the business to assess our current automation testing approach.

Some of the things you’ll do…*

• Test Automation Strategy- coordinate with teams to understand current test automation practices and identify areas for improvement. You will design test strategies and plans for our Product Features both current and new.
• Test Automation Execution- develop the test automation framework and test staging environments with help from our Principal Engineer and Quality Lead and automation test. You will also build repeatable automated tests.
• Software Development Life Cycle Uplift- work with our Engineers and Quality Lead to integrate test automation into DevOps practices. You will influence engineers to promote quality in our products throughout the whole SDLC.

What success looks like 6 months in…

• You understand our product roadmap goals, SDLC and overall product strategy.
• You have begun assessing our current test automation suite and practices and understand how engineering teams approach QA.
• You have defined most of the test automation strategy, along with suggestions for new technologies.
• You have identified quick fixes and executed on them, to uplift test automation across multiple engineering teams.
