Sounds good so, what’s the role?

Reporting into the Senior Business Analyst you will be working with key stakeholders to elicit business requirements for new features and creating into clearly defined user stories for software development teams to implement.

We work in small development teams which allows us to have lots of collaboration between team members and cut through red tape to deliver to a high standard of both quality and quantity.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and looking for an opportunity to expand their skills while taking more responsibility in the development process where they can work closely with both stakeholders and development teams.

Great, what will I be doing?

• Elicit, analyse and evaluate business requirements
  
• Facilitate solutioning sessions with technical and business stakeholders
• Breakdown solution designs into manageable deliverables such epics, features & user stories
  
• Understand what product features are utilised by each business unit and assist with developing a roadmap to enhance these features
• Work with the Product Owner and other business analysts to develop new features and manage backlogs
• Develop user stories and define user acceptance criteria which can easily be understood by the development team
• Work with development team to enhance product backlog items and participate in sprint planning and delivery activities in an agile environment
  
• Assist the testing team to ensure features meet the design specifications
  
• Conduct workshops and technology demonstrations to seek sign-off on business requirements
• Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  

Ok, what do I need to succeed in this role?

You will need to have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a business analyst in a software development/delivery environment
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies
  
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent attention to detail
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams

It would also help if you have:

• Business process mapping and modelling using BPMN
• Experience with Azure DevOps
