Do you love using your analytical skills to create superior financial results? Panchero’s Franchise Corporation is looking to add a financial analyst to our team with a focus on our marketing campaigns and financial success of our restaurants.

This position is based in the support center in Coralville, IA. No relocation assistance provided.

Position Summary:

You will work closely with our marketing and accounting team to review marketing campaigns and cost trends. You will also work to create, define, implement, evolve, and report on key metrics and drivers of profitability. We’ll be looking for you to identify trends, drive monthly review meetings, and make recommendations on what we can do to improve and execute better going forward. Finally, you’ll play a key role in creating and updating our budgets and forecasts, analyzing company performance, and working on special projects.

This is a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment that requires an inquisitive mind, excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, superb analytical skills, and the ability to team with others within the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analytical support for financial budgeting, labor management and reporting, marketing activities, etc.
• Pricing strategy development and implementation
• New product development and product mix analysis
• Direct and coordinate development of operational targets and contributes to the planning process.

• Directs the preparation of various weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and maintains various related financial models.
• Analyzes and report on marketing initiatives to determine ROI and effectiveness.
• Analyzes financial performance (variance analysis to budget, forecast, and prior year) and communicates key findings to Marketing, Operations and Leadership.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial statements and systems
• Work with technology to improve and test POS systems for restaurants.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and 3+ years’ experience in financial analysis,
• Special Skills or knowledge necessary for this position include:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Seeks insights versus just crunching the numbers and anticipates the next question.
• High level of expertise in financial modeling and computer skills (MS Excel, Various POS platforms and back office software)
• Strong interpersonal skills with an understanding of how to interact interdepartmentally to accomplish tasks and goals
• Knowledge of the restaurant / retail industry, operations.
• Thorough working knowledge of financial analysis including financial planning, operational and marketing analysis, and capital budgeting and analysis.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to work with multiple projects and departments simultaneously.
