ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Responsible for efficient communication, harmonious interaction and support of co-workers and management team members.
· The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible to collaborate with their teams and peers to source components and finished goods, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of materials while optimizing cost and quality while minimizing delivery costs and lead times.
· Identify new sources and establish strong and lasting supplier relationships that enable business growth.
· Periodically presents plans and results for purchasing and inventory s. This shall include market trends, strategic deployment and KPIs such as lead time and on time delivery.
· Lead Negotiation efforts with vendors and suppliers creating and maintaining relationships to include contract agreements/contracts for suppliers regarding prices and lead times.
· Orders office supplies for the company. Staples, WB Mason and Amazon. Compares prices and coupons to receive best price.
· Review, update and maintain Purchasing related policies and processes.
· Issues tools and reimbursement requests for tools. Works with field operations administrator regarding tools.
· Responsible for uniforms for all departments. Orders uniforms for new hires and replacements. Returns and tracks uniforms for employees who leave. Approves invoices. Solves issues with uniforms with the uniform company and employees.
· Coordinates with managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
· Analyze existing purchasing processes for performance
· Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems
· Identify ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability.
· Assists with posting work orders and equipment installations.
· Orders & maintains appropriate inventory levels of parts for trucks and stockroom.
· Performs other tasks assigned by Manager to provide general support to company operations.
· Coordinates with Managers and Accounting all aspects of periodical and annual physical inventory.
· Assists in performing tasks of other personnel within the department as needed.
· Works on year-end inventory.
· Maintains and promotes company brand guidelines and core values at all times.
LEADERSHIP – PERSONAL
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists manager with directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; training employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; interviewing and hiring. Is responsible for ensuring warehouse and inventory workers are following proper policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

SAFETY: Working safely is a condition of employment. Employees shall verbally and photograph all crashes / injuries to their Manager immediately. If your Manager is not available, the crash / injury to the Safety Manager another Manager, or Human Resource Manager.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college in supply chain management, logistics or business administration preferred. Minimum of five years’ experience as a purchasing manager or leadership role.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must speak fluent English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write s, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Microsoft Office suite: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel . Must be an advanced excel user. Must be able to create and write s in all software programs we use. Ability to quickly learn our computer software. Google Drive and create and use Smartsheet.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit. The employee must be able to move light boxes, parts as needed. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to quiet.
