Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant position will be responsible of maintaining the Clubs Accounts Receivable process through Northstar. Will ensure proper A/R postings to all members accounts and will update daily F&B revenues from all club revenue centers in accordance with the Clubs standards. Will assist with the implementation of the depreciation software and will maintain and oversee the monthly depreciation J/E. Staff Accountants will cross train to support both the accounts payable and accounts receivable process and assist with month end journal entries. In addition to assisting with establishing and maintaining SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for the Accounting Department and the Club as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following:

• Responsible for collecting and maintaining all A/R transactions (ACH/checks/credit card payments) and postings to members accounts in accordance with the clubs’ standards.
• Posts charges to accounts from all club revenue centers.
• Reconciles month-end balancing of receivables.
• Answer club members questions regarding their account transactions.
• Research /resolve all transaction discrepancies or disputed charges in member accounts courteously, following departmental procedures.
• Prepares daily deposits and processes deposits from desk deposit machine.
• Review all returned checks and process according to procedures.

• Print and send out all members statements, via email and/or mail at month end.
• Obtain transactions details (chits) upon member’s request.
• Coordinates the resolution of member disputes with the appropriate department head and the member.
• Advises Controller about delinquent member accounts and create dunning letters for each account indicated by Accounting Manager.
• Updates daily F&B Revenues & reconciles monthly A/R Credit Card accounts from all revenue centers.
• Reconciles month end A/R GL accounts and checks for discrepancies and processes reclassifications.
• Maintains and updates depreciation software and post monthly depreciation J/E.
• Assists with Palm Beach Club Services I/C Billing.
• Complete month-end closing procedures as specified, including monthly reports.
• Audits point-of-sale charges and credit card sales.
• Audits Events and In-Home Dining Orders.
• Assist with other accounting tasks requested.
• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required by the Executive Team.

• Ability to cross-train in other accounting functions and related areas.

Education and experience

• Associates’ Degree or equivalent experience
• 2 years accounting experience or similar role.
• Must have computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office programs and related POS system like Club Accounting software such as Northstar, Jonas, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
