About our HLC Project – Through the Humanitarian Logistics Capability (HLC) program, Palladium provides high quality, multifaceted, flexible, and responsive project management, and humanitarian supply chain solutions in support of the Commonwealth of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Humanitarian Emergency Relief activities.
The People, Culture & Talent Acquisition Manager will play a vital role in supporting the HLC team to provide international disaster relief by delivering people solutions aligned to project objectives. Working in conjunction with the Capacity Development Director and the Core Leadership Team (CLT) they will implement HR initiatives, provide people-based solutions and services, and develop and implement personnel policies to support the growth of HLC. This role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney on a fixed-term contract until June 2023.
About the Role:
Support Program leadership in maintaining and strengthening a High-Performing Team culture;
Build strong partnerships within the Program and provide counsel, advice and coaching support to line managers and employees;
Build talent pools of individuals with skill-sets relevant to supporting humanitarian responses;
End to end recruitment of all HLC roles and oversee all activities related to the employee life cycle;
Training employees on the application of new and existing systems, policies, and procedures;
Develop and implement a people strategy with annual delivery plans;
Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives;
Manage the performance management process for employees, maintain data and produce status reports;
Respond to queries from employees on HR policies, procedures, and operational HR issues;
Support response-rostered personnel as required to enable personnel support to humanitarian responses;
Support the Diversity & Inclusion strategy.
About You:
Relevant HR or business-related qualification or relevant employment experience;
Experience with the talent acquisition process and comfort recruiting operationally with a project environment;
A solid understanding of Australian Employment legislation and processes;
Experience working in a global setting is advantageous;
Excellent written and spoken communication skills with a flexible, can-do attitude.
