PURPOSE OF POSITION

Under the direction of the Cost Accounting Manager, this position will be heavily focused on supplier claims and assuring product cost integrity. Other opportunities include improving costing processes, operations reporting, providing analysis and recommendations to operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain Standard Costs in Nav.
• Work with R&D to properly enter and calculate New BOM’s
• Maintaining Supplier claims
• Work with the Quality Assurance, Materials Management, and the Warehouse to ensure an efficient process.
• Monthly reporting of key indicators
• Interact and communicate effectively with internal customers
• Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and assist in month end close
• Reporting Inventory results.
• Assist with projects both independently and through cross functional teams.
• Assist with the annual cost rolls and related analysis
• Continuous improvement focus: accounting, costing, and operations processes
• Aid in the development of key operational metrics and education
• Assist with budgets and forecasting of manufacturing costs and expenses
• Ad hoc projects

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Problem Solving
• Analytical
• Data Analytics
• ERP (Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus)
• Advanced Excel Skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 4-year college degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Prefer 1-3 years of manufacturing and cost accounting experience.
