Our mission consists of working with clients to understand daily service requirements, formulating daily action plans that match available work with available resources, communicating plans to contractors, and working with operations, safety, and field personnel to respond quickly to non-planned events throughout the workday.

Tasks include utilizing Microsoft Office and industry specific software (very user friendly) to gather information and manage resources, communicating with clients, contractors, and company field personnel, reviewing data gathered in the field to ensure accuracy and completeness, and generating internal and external s both on a regular and as need basis.

Only those with strong attendance records will be considered for this opportunity.

This position requires 12-hour work shifts (7:00 am to 7:00 pm). Working 3 days a week with alternating Saturdays.

Job Description

Responsible for Driver Dispatching

• Prioritize & assign loads to drivers/contractors according to factors such as length of trip, priority of the load, and HOS regulations.
• Maintain accurate computer dispatch records including taking detailed notes for the next shift.
• Keep close communication with our Fleet Managers & Compliance departments.
• Creating & maintaining spreadsheets for upper management.
• Review & research Electronic Logging violations/alerts/malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot tablet or printer issues for drivers.
• Take initial incident s and alert the Safety & Operations teams.
• Responsible for completing special projects, like data entry, building kits for new hires, and other miscellaneous tasks that can be completed during your shift.

Responsible for Hours of Service monitoring

• Available on standby for calls regarding hours of service related issues
• Investigate Hours of Service infractions/violations
• Assist Drivers with their ELD system including troubleshooting their tablet issues
• Addressing safety non-conformance and violations/incidents with the drivers & their managers
• Driver Safety & Driving performance to upper manager

• Maintaining a strong professional relationship with our contractors & customers
• Maintain close communication with fleet managers and compliance department
• Receive customer inquiries and maintain positive customer relations for the operation.
• Responding to our customer’s emails and inquiries in a professional & timely manner.
• Prioritizing & assigning loads to drivers/contractors according to factors such as length of trip, the priority of the load, and hours of service (HOS) regulations.
• Monitoring HOS / HOS Exemptions
• Maintain accurate computer dispatch records including taking detailed notes for the next shift.
• Perform HOS log audits against load tickets.

Research & Monitoring

• Review JSA and overweight compliance.
• Creating & maintaining spreadsheets for upper management.
• Taking multiple calls from drivers throughout the night.
• Review & research electronic logging device (ELD) removals.
• Review & research unassigned drive time generating by the ELD s.
• Troubleshoot tablet or printer issues for drivers during night hours.
• Take initial incident s and alert the compliance and fleet teams.
• Verifying and planning schedules for contractors.
• Provide routine volume projection updates to customer personnel.
• Responsible for completing special projects such as data entry, building kits for new hires, and other miscellaneous tasks that can be completed during your shift.
• Available on standby for calls regarding HOS/Dispatch related issues
• Addressing safety non-conformance and violations/incidents with the drivers and the team.
• MUST BE LOCAL TO TULSA, OK

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in transportation, logistics, and/or oilfield service
• Ability to creatively solve problems
• Excellent customer service skills
• Technology Savvy (Excel, Word, Outlook, SMS)
• Dependable & reliable (attendance & timeliness is crucial)
• The ideal candidate must have the ability to self-start and accomplish assigned tasks independently

Qualifications & Requirements

• Knowledge of FMCSA Hours of Service Regulations
• High school diploma (or equivalent) required
• College degree preferred but not required
• Reliable Home Internet/Wifi
• One year of DOT Safety/Compliance or Dispatch experience preferred but not required
• Time management and organizational skills
• Integrity, confidentiality, accountability
• Use tact, initiative, prudence and independent judgment within general policy and legal guidelines in politically sensitive situations.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be a self-starter and able to follow a rigorous schedule
• Must be able to pass a background screening
• Ability to effectively manage in a changing environment
