Our Product and Sales organizations are growing and looking for a world-class Presales Engineer to join our team. As one of the founding members of the team, you’ll play a critical role in exploring and developing value for new customers of Pactum. You will be the connecting force between our product and capabilities and customer needs. Using your technical abilities and business acumen, you will demonstrate how Pactum can create value for Fortune 500 customers, Global 2000, Global 2000 and beyond.


We are looking for someone who will:

  • Be a consultative, value based thought leader, a trusted advisor, and an SME
  • Create and present working prototypes based on our core offering
  • Demonstrate with working prototypes (where appropriate) how Pactum can deliver value to customers
  • Develop a strong understanding of Pactum’s capabilities and human capital
  • Earn customer trust by developing a deep understanding of their processes, problems and people
  • Influence executives to think differently about problems and solutions
  • Build compelling business cases that make the best use of Pactum’s core competencies to delight customers
  • Sell customers on our solution and vision for the future
  • Work with our prospective customers on a solution roadmap based on knowledge of their requirements (i.e. product market fit)
  • Shape the future of the product, team and solutions – as a founding member, you will pave the way for how Pactum sells and what Pactum builds.
  • Participate in and support bid teams and proposals

You are likely to succeed if you are…

  • “Demo to Win” certified (preferably)
  • A “Performer” – who loves presentations and who can craft compelling narratives in a short span of time.
  • A proven Pre-Sales engineer in an Enterprise business, bonus points with experience in one or more of: Supply Chain, Logistics, Data analytics, Contract Management, Automation or Procurement.
  • Genuinely motivated to work on a product that helps solve the world of negotiations.
  • Comfortable with paving your own way, figuring out what problems are worth solving, and how to solve them.
  • Ready to build strong business relationships with various stakeholders from some of the biggest companies in the world.
  • Energized by (or at least feel comfortable navigating) constant change
  • Experienced in light programming, preferably JavaScript and front-end development
  • Excited to be an internal champion, sharing out customers’ needs to our Product, Engineering, and Sales teams
  • Scrappy and quick – you understand and can demonstrate the ability to move quickly to respond to incoming requests
  • Dynamic in your experience – this is a plus but not required! We think former accountants, account executives, or engineers could thrive in this exciting and dynamic role
  • Okay with occasional early-bird hours if you are in Pacific or Mountain time, as we are collaborating across many time zones
  • Have a relevant degree such as Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical, Business, Education, Marketing, Mathematics, Communication

Compensation details:

At Pactum, we pay competitive salaries to ensure that our employees know they are valued. We set standard ranges for all of our positions benchmarked against companies in similar stages of growth and revenue, dependent on job function, expertise level, academic achievements, and geographic location

The compensation range for this role is $160k-$175k OTE (including commission).
