About this opportunity

The GM Assurance & Financial Controller is a key role on the CFO lead team. The primarily responsible is to create optimal assurance and controller-ship disciplines for the multiple jurisdictions where Pact operates. The role ensures Pact has an efficient and effective control environment, monitors and performs compliance activities, provides transparent financial reports within the IFRS standard requirements and leads by example the control environment of the Pact Group.

The key focus of this role is to lead Pact’s assurance and external reporting function, providing timely and accurate oversight of our assurance program and providing timely, accurate and relevant information to our stakeholders ensuring that the Pact Group are, always, in full compliance with the IFRS and local jurisdictional laws and regulations.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Drive a Pact assurance model leveraging the 3LOD methodology and driving an improvement in maturity across the organsiaiton

• Develop, implement and drive a Group compliance program

• Ensure the Group has a comprehensive set of policies and procedures to ensure our people meet the Group expectations of minimum standards across a variety of key activities

• Implement a finance attestation process ensuring group controls expectations are met

• Partner with Group Divisional Finance Managers and Shared Services to improve maturity of our control environment

• Deliver Pact’s half year and full year financial statements in accordance with IFRS requirements

• Own the statutory consolidation process

• Drive best practice, share experiences, and views on statutory reporting requirements for our stakeholders

• Advise on relevant legislation, draft directives, cases and similar legislation and decisions in the areas of external reporting obligations and assurance.

Your skills and experience

• External or Internal Audit Manager experience

• Experience in managing internal and/or external customer relationships (at a senior level and within a complex global organisation) with the ability to quickly establish rapport and trust even in difficult situations.

• Demonstrated prior consultative or business analysis expertise in controller-ship

• Strong financial background in statutory reporting and/or assurance program demonstrating strength in control and compliance

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting

• Significant experience practising controller-ship in either a global organisation or a reputable Consulting Firm supporting Global organisations.

• Solid experience in managing audits in the SE Asian region

• Experience using the following computer systems: SAP, Microsoft Suite, BPC

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field
• Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or CPA
