Purpose of Role:

HR Generalist – Recruiter plays a key role in creating a qualified pool of other candidates, in advance of need, to fill vacancies and is responsible to attract the most qualified individual.

It is imperative that the HR Generalist – Recruiter represent the company in the most positive and professional light when acting on behalf of the company’s recruiting events, interviews, social media, etc.

This position is responsible for recruiting prospective aviation employees, with a primary focus on Pilots through the interview process, to include qualifications screening, technical and non-technical questions and determining candidates’ overall suitability in accordance with established policies. The job duties are listed below and are not all encompassing.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate pre-screening, phone screening, interview scheduling, pre-employment testing, new hire paperwork, and new hire orientation.
• Assess applicant suitability based on the Job Description, Required Skills, and Job Requirements
• Assist with digital filling, collating, and document maintenance
• Monitor Resumes/Applications to keep active for 60 days/24 months retention
• Answer employment inquiries over the phone and in person
• Assist with other HR duties including badging, issuing uniforms, drug screening, performing background checks, some training coordination, and workers compensation.
• Generate s on Staffing, Candidate Tracking, and Social Media/Job Site activity
• Provide interpretation of company personnel policies and procedures.
• Be able to work in a fast pace, corporate environment
• Meet strict deadlines to ensure that the operation is fully staffed
• Ability to demonstrate aggressive recruiting skills by being extremely creative and persuasive with hands on approach to link with potential candidates
• Work with marketing department to strategically collaborate on dynamic recruiting campaigns
• Communicate with and to clients and managers on recruitment (progress, needs, etc.).
• Develops recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.
• Meets with managers to develop specific recruiting plans.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with placement offices, employment agencies and search firms, including negotiating and controlling employment-related fees in an effort to generate qualified applicants.
• Schedules and attends job/career fairs to generate qualified applicants.
• Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
• Provide initial screening of candidates to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements and refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for further consideration and 2nd interview.
• Conducts reference and background checks.
• Develops and conducts training programs for managers with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover.
• Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring and statistics.
• Maintains records on recruiting activities as required.
• Develops recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with placement offices and employment agencies.
• Schedules and attends job/career fairs to generate qualified applicants.
• Leads the hiring process including job posting, screening, and interviewing.
• Conducts reference and background checks.
• Develops and conducts training programs for managers with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring processes and reducing turnover.
• Maintains records on recruiting activities as required.
• Strategic Involvement in: Complete Recruitment Cycle, Administration, Employee Engagement, Conflict and Negotiation Resolution.
• · Assisting with budgetary planning; balancing general ledger lines and/or expense accounts
• Serving as proxy to certain systems; researching general ledger issues or other system issues; handling approvals as proxy where appropriate in systems for HR leaders and their teams
• Drafting complex and/or confidential correspondence.
• Maintaining and updating team organization charts.
• Handling of confidential company materials with sensitivity and discretion
• Assist the HR & Admin team to manage various company events and get togethers
• Preparing expense submissions for leaders and their teams
• Managing a complex and dynamic calendar
• Developing agendas for HR team meetings; setting up virtual telepresence meetings or helping with team off-sites; taking and publishing notes from meetings
• Strategic Involvement in: Complete Recruitment Cycle, Administration, Employee Engagement, Conflict and Negotiation Resolution.
• Assisting with budgetary planning; balancing general ledger lines and/or expense accounts
• Serving as proxy to certain systems; researching general ledger issues or other system issues; handling approvals as proxy where appropriate in systems for HR leaders and their teams
• Drafting complex and/or confidential correspondence. Maintaining and updating team organization charts.
• Handling of confidential company materials with sensitivity and discretion
• Acts as a backup for other HR functions as necessary.

Qualifications Required:

Education & Experience

• 5+ years recruiting experience placing various complex positions – Aviation experience is a plus
• Ability to understand and explain positions related to various technical roles
• Experience working with an applicant tracking system (experience with Paylocity ATS a plus)
• BA/BS degree preferred
