About the Role

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, we are seeking an outstanding and suitably experienced IT OPerations Specialist to join our team.

In this role you will need to be able to lead daily systems operations, liaise with IT resources, study and analyse department business processes, identify and implement approved enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyse, assess efficiency, effectiveness and document procedures, processes, policies and organisational practices.
• Analyse, design and/or write programs and systems to cater for users request in timely manner
• Support the development and implementation of new systems and user procedures and meet expected required by date and budgetary requirements.
• Analyse the costs and benefits of proposed systems and thus justify future development
• Ensure that all work follows documented standards and conform to agreed quality plans
• Ensure server, LAN, and computer equipment and software etc are acquired according to predefined specifications and in accord with operating system, user requirement, budgetary guidelines, and PACCAR standard
• Ensure all such equipment, software, etc is appropriately licensed for use and used in accordance with such licences
• Occasional assistance with performance of some Operational activities as required, including but not limited to Helpdesk, Backup and restoration, computer room monitoring, user profile requests

The Ideal Candidate (Qualifications, Skills & Experience)

Experience in programming, system and business analysis.

Understanding of the urgency of service in a customer driven retail environment

Experience in successfully implementing new systems and working with the team to help them through change
