Staff Accountant Job Description

Overview: Staff accountants must possess strong time management and analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities. Strong technology skills are critical, particularly expertise with Microsoft Excel. An Associates and / or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance is preferred.

Duties:

• Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries for month end closing
• Monthly Sales Tax filing
• AP, AR postings
• Income Audit, process daily credit cards, produce revenue report, audit daily receipts
• Review of Time Clock edits for payroll
• Performing Balance Sheet reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
• Maintaining general ledger charts of accounts
• Assisting with initial internal control evaluations
• Inventory experience a plus
• Hospitality Experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
