Purpose of the Role
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and passionate individual with a can-do attitude to manage our recruitment and onboarding activities. The role will support Oxitec Leaders and Managers through a very exciting and rapid growth phase and will deliver an efficient and robust recruitment processes in line with existing procedures, to help facilitate the hiring of exceptional talent. You will be primarily responsible for sourcing candidates through multiple channels and ensuring that the recruitment process is delivered in a timely and structured fashion. You will need to be able to advise, challenge and facilitate all hiring decisions within the organisation and see the whole recruitment lifecycle through from beginning to end for all regions that we are currently hiring in (UK, Brazil, and US). As the Global Recruiter you will be expected to have a hands-on approach and to deliver a comprehensive service that is highly responsive especially during this significant period due to our global expansion.
Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience including on-boarding;
• Source qualified, talented, and high potential candidates who embody Oxitec’s values & principles and high-pace, entrepreneurial spirit;
• Create, and publish job descriptions / adverts and distribute them on social media channels and relevant job boards to recruit top talent for all roles;
• Ensure that the internal recruitment process is followed and that all advertising for relevant roles, is conducted fairly and to help support career growth within the organisation;
• Build relationships with all Hiring Managers and understand the hiring needs in relation to team goals, collaborating with the business to enhance the overall recruitment processes in place;
• Create relevant content for the social media account, and promotion of Oxitec being an employer of choice;
• Conduct reference checks and other background checks as needed;
• Research other sources of talent pipelines and begin building relationships with organisations / educational establishments to further promote Oxitec in the relevant fields and set up plans to attend recruitment fairs /networking events to attract candidates;
• Work closely with all Oxitec entities to build efficient and scalable recruiting processes to support consistency and fluidity.

Key Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable direct recruitment experience essential;
• Experience of working in a high-volume recruitment role effectively managing multiple searches and assignments in different fields simultaneously;
• Track record of HR / Recruitment project delivery desirable;
• Self-starter who can work well autonomously and possess a “hunter” mindset to establish relationships;
• Excellent knowledge of sourcing and recruitment techniques including social media
• A super connector who lives on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other social media outlets with excellent knowledge of sourcing and recruitment techniques;
• Previous exposure of working and interacting with Senior Leadership Teams;
• Experience of working in tech / life sciences start up is desirable
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a must, and the additional language of Portuguese would be advantageous;
• Results-driven and action-oriented individual who is business savvy and entrepreneurial.
