LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT CO-ORDINATOR

HOURS: * 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE)
SALARY: up to £28,064 per annum pro-rata (SCP Salary Scale Spinal Point 22); actual salary £14,032 per annum
CONTRACT: Permanent
HOLIDAYS: 28 days plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
PENSION: Auto enrolment in place
PROBATIONARY PERIOD: 6 months
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Head of Human Resources
BASE: Remote working from home

A fantastic opportunity for a passionate Learning and Development Specialist to join Oxfordshire Mind and inspire others to achieve their full potential.

Role Purpose
People are at the heart of what we do. This new role will ensure our people are fully equipped to deliver their roles and reach their potential through a range of flexible learning interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• In consultation with the Head of HR and senior management team, plan and implement L&D aspects of our strategic plan.

• Maintain the training needs analysis for the organisation followed by recommendations for design, delivery and evaluation.

• Maintain the essential training programme for the organisation in accordance with the KPI’s.

• Work with the HR team to deliver a robust Induction Programme to include Welcome Days.

• Continuously strive to improve and streamline L&D systems by regularly reviewing processes to ensure that they remain effective, efficient and in are in accordance with the needs of the organisation.

• Produce monthly ad-hoc reports to assist with the production of monthly statistics and assist the Head of HR with the analysis, along with identifying themes and trends.

• Work with partners and employees to ensure training, learning and development packages are clear, coherent, and responsive.

• Encourage Professional development through the Apprenticeship Scheme and utilising the Apprenticeship Levy and other funded programmes

• Co-ordinate the training budget.

• Ensure effective promotion, enrolment, recording and evaluation of all learning interventions, using automation as much as possible.

• Develop a range of learning interventions, including technical, behavioural and leadership programmes embedded in adult learning theories.

• Driving a culture of continuous professional development (CPD).

• Support a coaching culture in the organisation

• Ensure compliance in all aspects of mandatory, Safeguarding and other legally required training is up to date.

• Maintain all records relating to learning and development including training records

Person specification:

• Previous experience of working within an L&D setting and with adult learning styles

• Evaluation, analysis and report writing skills

• Learner-First Mindset – offer learning that is engaging, always-on, and provides just-in-time performance support as and when needed

• Tech-savvy with strong Office 365 suite skills

• Well-developed customer service skills

• Planning, organising, and managing resources

• Problem solving/critical thinking

• Flexibility and adaptability

• Project management skills

• Able to get results by influencing others and gaining buy-in to new initiatives

Desirable

• Able to work using the Digital Apprenticeship System – DAS
