Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust Hiring for Senior R&D Finance Manager Job at Oxford, England Full Time

This is not a typical finance role but provides the opportunity to support national and international experts in health research whose goals are to make a real impact on people’s lives.

As this is a new position there will be the opportunity to shape and develop the role, and would be suitable for anyone with Research experience or has good management accounting experience and is willing to learn.

This role is embedded within the research department and reports via an experienced senior accountant to the Head of R&D.

As part of the team you will collaborate with other NHS organisations and Universities including the University of Oxford who is our key stakeholder. It is therefore critical that you can build and maintain good working relationships across organisations, both with clinical and non-clinical staff at different levels. The aim of which is to improve and reshape not only our own services, but also develop and/or influence future treatments within healthcare services worldwide.

The role itself is crucial and will involve the following:

• Managing 2 R&D Finance Managers
• Supporting new research grants
• Providing costings and provide financial support to new research studies (Commercial and Non-Commercial)
• Manage costings of large Infrastructure awards
• Provide financial support to internal and external specialists over the life of all research projects, in different clinical and academic fields
• Ensuring appropriate governance requirements are met

A very flexible approach is required to meet the continually changing demands and various internal and external deadlines required by the Trust and research organisations. You will be highly organised, with the ability to multi-task. Keeping up to date with the latest R&D projects and incentives is essential.

Part-time applications will also be considered for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
