We are looking for an inspirational and talented colleague to join the team at the Oxford Brookes School of Education. If you have the ambition, ability and passion to make a difference through your teaching and research, then join our team at one of the UK’s leading modern universities. We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Post-Compulsory Education, who is able to teach core modules as well as specialisms relating to their research interests.
As a Senior Lecturer you will teach across undergraduate and postgraduate modules and contribute to the development and sustainability of the School of Education’s programme portfolio. This will include but is not limited to the PGCE Post-Compulsory Education. You will be able and willing to apply your expertise across a range of education settings and module lead on a variety of topics. You will understand what it means to deliver an outstanding learning experience to students, with experience commensurate with the post and be confident operating in virtual and blended learning environments. You will both teach on campus and work with our Associate College Partnerships delivering PGCEs. An active research profile or ambition to build the same is desirable. Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or equivalent is required for this post.
Please note that this post is 0.7 full-time equivalent, which entails a workload that is comparable to three and a half working days per week. Your pattern of work is to be negotiated with your line manager. The post is initially for a fixed-term period of one year; the School of Education would welcome discussions about a longer relationship towards the end of the appointment.

Candidates are usually appointed at the bottom of the salary range with a step pay increase until they reach the top of the salary scale.
