Position Highlights

Owens Healthcare is currently seeking a Human Resources Director to join the Company’s Leadership Team. This position provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. The Director is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.

Critical Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with executive leadership to define the organizations long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management
• Establish departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the organization’s strategic goals
• Effectively recruit talent and engage outside recruiters, if necessary, all in a timely manner
• Create a work environment that always puts the company in the position to receive such awards as Great Place to Work which drives retention
• Identify key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions; assess the organizations success and market competitiveness based on these metrics
• Provide guidance and leadership to the Human Resources team; assist with resolution of questions, concerns and issues regarding human resources, compensation, and benefits
• Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation
• Work with leadership to ensure that all areas of the company have an A & B leader and is looking ahead at succession planning
• Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs
• Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements
• Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management
• Assist with the organization’s staffing budget and the budget for the Human Resources department
• Participate in professional development, networking conferences and events
• Engage with the HR community and keep abreast of best practices
• Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
• Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
• Utilize HR metrics and data analysis for Senior Management reports

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
• 10+ years of human resource management experience required, including strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience
• Intrinsic knowledge of the key functional areas of HR (talent acquisition, benefits administration, compensation analysis, employee relations, compliance, learning & development, organizational development, and payroll)
• Prior experience in a Director of HR position
• Experience in planning, developing and implementing effective HR strategies
• Experience with ERP software and MS 365, including MS Teams
