Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?

You’ll be part of the Finance function at Kaluza. Overall, as a Finance Team, we’re responsible for ensuring accuracy, optimising processes and systems, simplifying reporting and driving performance to deliver the most effective returns on capital.

What will I be doing?

Reporting into one of our Management Accountants, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the finance team across multiple sites.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate ledgers throughout the month, ensuring all spend is allocated against the correct business and spend areas; you’ll also own the monthly spend review files, reporting any key variances. You’ll produce an accurate and detailed understanding of monthly journals, accruals and prepayments.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Month end journals (accruals, prepayments, intercompany etc)

• Owning the business-facing purchase ledger process for each supplier;
• Supporting the Accounts Payable and Treasury teams to ensure invoices are paid on time;
• Assisting with the payroll, accounting and administration of our international employees;
• Building relationships with key stakeholders, providing insightful analysis where required;
• Actively seeking to improve accounting processes and calculations where possible;
• Providing additional and ad-hoc support in line with the management accountant’s and business’ needs.
• Supporting with company secretary tasks.

Is this the job for me?

We’re looking for somebody with accounting experience in a financial role; you don’t need to be fully qualified but if you’re a part qualified accountant following any of the ACA/ACCA/CIMA pathways, that would be a huge plus!

You’re a confident communicator who’s able to interact with people from all levels and adapt your communication style accordingly. We’re team-players and happy to roll up our sleeves, getting stuck in when needed.

Ideally you will:

• Have a good grasp of Excel and experience with accounting systems (ideally SAP or Workday);
• Be diligent with a strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy;
• Be willing to investigate at depth to proactively resolve problems;
• Be approachable and friendly, with high integrity;
• Thrive on organisation – you’ve got strong workload & time management skills;
• Have good commercial awareness, from analysis to contracting.
