Position Description

The Accounting Manager serves a critical role on the Overland Group team. He or she will be responsible for the following:

• Lead the accounting team (staff accountant & accounting clerk) and oversee all accounting functions
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee the accounting of 15+ entities including corporate and SPE entities
• Responsible for cash flow management
• Design and implement accounting and financials business strategies and procedures
• Ability to think high level while also having the ability to perform the day-to-day needs
• Maintain general ledger and supporting schedules
• Reconcile and maintain intercompany balances
• Coordinate and assist third-party service provides (tax, cost segregation, etc.)
• Work with multiple accounting and project management systems
• Manage accounting team workload and staffing requirements, including hiring, onboarding, and evaluating staff

Qualifications

• Extremely high level of initiative
• Proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, master’s degree preferred
• CPA highly preferred
• 4 years progressive experience minimum
• Construction or development accounting experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to adapt with company to learn/develop new processes and systems
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, with little direction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
