We need a highly motivated individual to support our children’s learning and development within a play-based curriculum and open ended, free flow play environments. You must be committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for our children. The successful applicant will understand the importance of the Key Person approach and be able to use observations and assessments to plan effective experiences and opportunities for children motivated by their interests and learning characteristics within sponateous responses to play and planned enhanced activities.
This role is at Our Monkey Club in Swadlincote and is a full time role, full year role. Our non-profit company prioritises keeping each unique child at the centre of everything we do and we will recruit an individual with excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, a passion for learning and supporting learning but above all enjoys playing and having fun with our children! This role will challenge your understanding of early years and the importance of your role within children’s development and you must be willing to extend your already sound knowledge base to continually improve your professional practice. We have developed our settings based on our theoretical and practical understanding of children’s physical and psychological development and as such we have high expectations of everyone who joins Our Monkey Club.
You will need to hold a full and relevant level 3 qualification and be prepared to develop your already effective practice using a range of training and development strategies. We will offer a range of support including structured training sessions, mentoring, formal supervision and possibly accessing a Foundation Degree.
Our setting offers care for children from 9 months to 12 years old and the successful candidate will be working with a dynamic team to provide the outstanding care we expect for our children. You will need to have sound computer skills, preferably a clean and full driving license held for at least two years and significant experience as a Key Person. Our settings are free-flow environments and open during 50 weeks a year from 7am to 6pm and this role will offer regular hours on a salaried 40 hour contract.
