We are seeking an Administrator to provide comprehensive support to our friendly and lively Music Department.
Oundle School’s Music Department consists of 8 full-time members of staff and 44 part-time visiting instrumental teachers. Around 950 instrumental lessons are taught each week.
You will provide comprehensive administrative support, and be the first contact point for, around 50 music staff, the parents and pupils, and visitors, whilst communicating with the wider Oundle Staff body with all instrumental lesson matters, finance and billing. You will liaise closely with the Music Department Administrator – Performance before departure each day.
Many of the duties are in consultation with the Director of Music and the department staff, but responsibility is given for many projects beyond this and it is envisaged the Administrator would want to be involved in decision making and be willing to contribute ideas. You should be able to contribute to the friendly and supportive ethos of the department.
You will be educated to at least GCSE with competent English, have intermediate level Word Processing, and at least a basic numerical knowledge. General administrative / secretarial experience is essential, as is competency in Microsoft Office and an ability to learn new software packages. A team player with excellent communication skills, you will have the ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate a good eye for detail.
To start as soon as possible (subject to notice period and pre-employment checks), you will work 25 hours per week 09:00-14:00, Monday to Friday. This role is to work Oundle School Term time plus 10 days, which 35 weeks per annum. Salary is £11,969 per annum (FTE £25,398) and will be paid each month throughout the year.
