We’re searching for a teammate with a proven passion for UX Research. The User Research Team Lead performs a hybrid individual contributor / manager role. As an individual contributor, they lead user research for some of our most complex and high-profile projects. As a Manager, they ensure high-performing, happy, direct reports, advance TWG’s organizational research maturity, and efficiently operate & grow the team.

You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers and your Experienced Design teammates to create effective experiences for our clients and their users.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you, and your experience:
Project Leadership: Leading user research strategy, execution, reporting and client-facing research touchpoints on key studio accounts

Talent Acceleration: Managing a team of up to 4 reports, and various contractors (up 2), with emphasis on: regular 1:1s, performance management, professional development, output quality oversight

Practice Standards: Ensuring a consistent yet evolving practice within the user research team, capacity-building for better user research by adjacent production teams, catalyzing studio-wide research process improvement

Team Operations: Ensuring the team operates as efficiently as possible, overseeing: team rituals, tool administration, studio-facing services, team finances, HR documentation, project estimation, resource allocation

Team Development: Setting team vision in partnership with VP, Experience Design, owning the team roadmap, resource forecasting, participating in hiring, supporting non-production teams (Marketing, Business Development and Solution Engineering) on initiatives that translate to more high-value work for the studio

Business development support and increased UR client account. Join client-facing meetings and workshops during key points of a project, leading UR presentations to help define, influence and represent UR strategy, quality and execution.

TWG believes in transparency and publicly shares salary ranges with each of our job postings. The salary range for this position is: $110,000 – $130,000
