OTB Vendors has a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated software engineer who wishes to join a dynamic team working on a highly innovative and unique product.

OTB Vendors is currently working on an exciting project that aims to manufacture Self-service automated bars designed for festivals and events. This role will see the ideal candidate rapidly developing processes of deployment of current software in the UK and abroad. We seek a talented and adaptable professional software design engineer who is also able to develop web frameworks, graphical user interfaces, python-based programs, android based development and other software.

Key responsibilities:

• Product development and maintenance
• Implementing new functionality, defining, and following coding standards
• Performing unit and integration testing
• Working to deadlines and providing accurate and timely information relating to current projects
• Continually looking for system improvements and ongoing product evolution
• Effectively communicating rollout activity
• Identifying and advocating learning and knowledge sharing to ensure the team grow and improve by keeping up to date with new technology where appropriate.
• Adhering to documented workflow processes
• Attending and leading, where appropriate, meetings with colleagues
• Suggesting areas for improvement of internal processes and procedures
• Making technical documentation and Handover Booklet as the project evolves

Qualifications:

Working towards or completed – A Computer Science degree or equivalent

Essential skills/ prerequisites:

• Python
• Java Script/HTML
• Android App Development

Ideal Skills:

· Familiarity with Flask Framework

· Experience with Databases

· Experience working with Raspberry Pi

Essential abilities:

• Highly developed organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritise
• Able to think creatively and to provide new ideas and solutions to problems.

Working hours and location:

The contracted hours are between 30 hours per week with flexibility on remote working. Note some elements of the work may require you to come into the Unit.

This is a temporary role with the opportunity of going full-time based on company fit and performance. We have a lot of events to deliver on this summer with our new product and this will be an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of major brand collaborations and
