Responsible for implementing QA processes and tooling in line with OSL QA standards in the Platform team. The role will see the successful candidate working closely with development, product and business teams in order to facilitate delivery of high quality software for OSL and for its clients. The successful candidate will be expected to drive improvement of testing in their business area, creating all necessary test artefacts, delivering their own testing as well as contributing to the testing done by other members of the team. Due to the highly regulated nature of the business testing must be thorough, accurate and presentable to internal and external stakeholders, including clients and regulators. As such, the successful candidate will ensure that their work meets the high standard expected of the industry.
Required Experience
- Functional and non-functional testing of complex systems
- Automated testing of individual and end-to-end processes including GUI and non-GUI based testing
- Development of or contribution to bespoke test automation frameworks
- Working in the financial services domain
- Proven track record of both team and autonomous working pattern
- Highly effective in time-pressured situations along with robust working ethic Required Skills
- Ability to contribute to test automation frameworks with components in multiple languages
- Creation of test plans that align with the OSL QA test strategy
- Test case development and execution – manual and automated
- Clear presentation of test results to internal and external stakeholders
- Java or Groovy to work in and around the platform codebases Recommended Skills and Experience
- Detailed knowledge of at least one asset class in the financial services industry (e.g. Digital Assets, Equities, FX)
- Previous experience working in a digital asset environment
- FIX (Financial Information eXchange) protocol use and / or testing
- Working knowledge of REST API testing
