POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer and in accordance with the Association’s policies and procedures, the Education Coordinator is a non-exempt hourly based position responsible for coordinating and facilitating professional development opportunities for members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Coordinate, plan and implement all continuing education seminars and workshops for the Association pursuant to the applicable regulations.
• Develop and oversee professional development plan including but not limited to; scheduling and finalization of course offerings for input into database, curriculum summary draft for submission to appropriate department for placement on the website, and classroom reservations.
• Ensure courses are appropriately instructor staffed; establish back up instructor list and identify alternate instructors in cases of emergency.
• Stay current and demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of regulations which impact education programs.
• Ensure that the Association offers, promotes, and provides professional development opportunities for members, annually in compliance with the NAR’s Core Standards.
• Responsible for set up of all education offerings and clean-up of all facilities used.
• Maintain all meeting/event planning and database definitions, including registration in the association management system (AMS) and coordination of registrations with other staff members.
• Responsible for reporting to NAR and FR for courses taken by members and ensure CE credits are filed.
• Assist with the management and coordination of other educational programs as assigned.
• Prepare and maintain sign in sheets for each class.
• Maintain an online organized filing system of materials, contracts, marketing materials and event checklists.
• Utilize a before, during and after checklist for all training and classes.
• Prepare a monthly report to include all classes, events, attendees, expense and evaluations.
• Develop or order and reproduce all materials for each offering such as promotional materials, evaluations, instructor evaluation forms and certificates.
• Coordinate with the Marketing/Communications Coordinator marketing of classes. Social Media, flyers, lobby PPT, etc.
• Responsible for the Code of Ethics Mandatory NAR Training. Tracking, offerings, monitoring, communicating with member prior to due date.
• Coordinate with membership services staff on calendar dates and times for class offerings.
• Serves as the staff liaison for the Professional Development Task Force.
• Determine appropriateness of CE credit for new curriculum. When appropriate, oversee the submittal and approval process.
• Supervise the Education Specialist position.
• Prepares and presents education course offerings for New Member Orientation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in educational programming, meeting planning, and conference management preferred.
• Track record of utilizing best practices in educational programming and meetings including: learning experience design, contract negotiation, exhibitor and sponsor solicitation and management, budget analysis and management, and practical application of innovative meeting design concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to establish policies and procedures, develop priorities, and identify resources
• Project management expertise or certification highly desirable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time.
• Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking.
• Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
• Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency
• Ability to view/enter data for long periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
