OrthoSouth is hiring an experienced Accounting Supervisor for our growing practice!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct supervision of 2.5 FTE hourly employees

Responsible for property accounting and annual filing of Shelby County Property schedules

Monthly reconciliation of Athena vs. QBs refunds

Check void process

Annual filing of unclaimed outstanding checks to the state

Monthly filing of sales tax to the state

Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations

Improve departmental efficiencies while maintaining good internal control

Meet monthly/quarterly/year-end close deadline

Monthly analysis of budget vs. actual to aid in budget review meetings

Assist with annual OrthoForum reporting data

Various projects as assigned

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, laws and regulations

Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data

Attention to detail and accuracy

Team management skills

Ability to prioritize work

Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel)

Experience with accounting software

DESIRED COMPETENCIES
Proficient in Quick Books

Accounting experience in a medical environment

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3–5 years proven work experience in the account field

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
