Orly Corp Hiring for Associate Designer – Socks at New York, New York Full Time

Job Description:

Orly Corp. is seeking two Associate Designers to fill design positions in our rapidly growing socks division. Positions immediately available: Junior/Kids Sock Designer and Women’s Sock Designer. The right candidate will have a direct role in the growth of these respective categories and be part of a close-knit team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Seasonal market/trend research
• Development of seasonal designs and presentations
• CAD updates based on customer/sales feedback
• Preparing design and technical files for PLM system and shared drives
• Maintain sample tracking and receiving for development samples with overseas factories and respective merchandisers
• Assist with packaging updates when necessary
• Work collaboratively with internal Designers, Sales team and merchandisers to ensure timely execution of all projects and deadlines

Skills and Requirements:

• Must have a creative eye and passion for great design
• Highly organized and excellent communication skills in person and via email communication
• Experience with patterns and knits is preferred
• Ability to self-manage various deadlines and expectations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and iMac computers

Salary: BOE

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in design related fields: Kids, Womens. Sock/knit design is a plus.

Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion/Product Design

Hybrid schedule: In-office & Remote
