What will you be doing?
As part of a project team, the Test/Quality Assurance Engineer will interact with project team to ensure the solution is fully tested, meeting all customer requirements, and passing all acceptance criteria. You will be responsible for executing and maintaining automated and manual test suites. This role is essential in helping the project team meeting the customer’s expectations. You will be working on fast iteration cycles and tight deadlines using an agile/scrum methodology.
The Test/Quality Assurance Engineer works collaboratively with our internal teams and product owners on design, development, and delivery of our business solutions, contributing towards the execution of manual and automated tests and ensure our code is of the highest quality; this includes tackling complex infrastructure challenges with creative automation and configuration management solutions; helping improve and expand the coverage of deployment automation.
What will you bring to the role?
Experience: You have a good understanding of testing techniques and approaches, are comfortable with contemporary software development practices and dealing with constant change. You will have a minimum of 2-6 years in software testing , manual and automated, in relevant technologies, with in-depth experience with several testing and configuration management tools and techniques. Your experience includes testing web-based solutions and data integration solutions, using testing tools and issue/defect tracking tools.
Skills: Skilled in designing test plans, test scenarios and test activities. Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and continuous integration tools. Preferred understanding of technical concepts including HTTP, HTML, web services, XML, javascript, messaging, Linux, Oracle DB, and SQL. Software development experience preferred, programming on java, javascript, cucumber, selenium. Exposure to big data technologies – Apache Spark, Elastic search, Cassandra strongly preferred. Healthcare domain expertise, working with data/analytics technologies is a bonus.
Characteristics: Task-focused: you persevere and drive for results when faced with difficulties and setbacks. Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills: you develop logical ideas, approaches, and solutions to typical, unusual, or difficult situations or problems. As a strong communicator, you can get your points across clearly, concisely and quickly.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or engineering required.
