THE ROLE

This position, within the Corporate Strategy & Development team (CS&D), is responsible for conducting financial and commercial analysis and assisting with transaction project management to support Origin’s investment and development decisions.

Reporting to the Group Manager – M&A, you will be responsible for assisting Origin in preparing for, and undertaking major transactions, including:

• Managing aspects of the co-ordination and project management of transaction execution
• Developing commercial and financial analysis to support strategic decision making
• Building detailed financial and valuation models to evaluate potential opportunities
• Assisting in the preparation and presentation of reports and presentations for senior management and the Board
• Providing input into commercial matters around transaction issues and execution
• Providing guidance and assistance to junior analysts in performance of the above

IS THIS YOU?

To be considered for this role you should have sound commercial judgement, project management experience and commercial and financial analysis, as well as sound knowledge of both market and commercial concepts as well as being able to navigate and capture accounting and tax concepts in financial analysis. You will be degree qualified in finance, accounting, commerce, economics, or engineering

You can show or demonstrate, through the work you have done:

• Financially numerate with a strong understanding of valuation concepts and analytical skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Written communication abilities (reports, briefs, presentations, investment proposals, external communications)
• Ability to manage a number of activities concurrently
• Around 4 – 6 years’ commercial experience, developing the skills and competencies listed above.
