The Sourcing Manager to helps drive sourcing processes and efficiencies across all locations by leveraging strategic sourcing strategies to optimize cost savings and streamline operations, without sacrificing value or interrupting operations. In this role, you will provide leadership, training, and career development to the Sourcing Specialist(s) as a technically specialized practitioner by administering the policies and procedures for Oregon Tool’s global procurement organization and measuring the success of sourcing strategies.
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for supplier development, contract negotiations, achieving year-over-year cost reduction targets that positively impact EBITA targets. In addition, the Sourcing Manager must be able to develop positive relationships internally with major cross functional stakeholders that support manufacturing and various business needs.
This position requires you to be a highly motivated professional and team player, with demonstrated experience in non-production expenses for goods and services across indirect categories of spend such as corporate and professional services, facilities, fleet, travel, MRO, etc.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities, other duties maybe assigned as business needs determine:
· Primary Task (40%) – Coordinate procurement process, advance procurement optimization activities, and data maintenance
— Support the execution of strategic sourcing activities for indirect goods or services by leveraging industry best practices, commodity experience, sourcing methodology and global partnerships
— Provide data analysis and improvement recommendation for category spend
— Take a proactive approach to resolve issues (i.e. material shortages, quality issues, etc.) with vendors and internal stakeholders
— Advance and support Oregon Tool’s highest standards in compliance and integrity
— Work closely with global resources to develop and execute lowest cost sourcing plans
— Execute a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach to all procurement activities
— Help implement plans to reduce dependency on single-source suppliers through contracts, dual sourcing or strategic partnerships
— Work on risk mitigation by dual sourcing where needed
— Negotiate supply agreements with key suppliers as required
— Conduct Supplier Evaluations and work with suppliers to optimize performance based upon such evaluations
— Global responsibility for assigned spend categories
— Develop partnership programs with suppliers that address TCO and continuous improvement programs to drive optimized TCO; quarterly meetings conducted with such suppliers
· Second Task (40%) – Manage purchasing activities
— Ensure purchases meet all legal requirements and are conducted honestly and ethically
— Ensure purchases are made for reasonable and legitimate business purpose and are properly authorized
— Follow Oregon Tool’s sourcing process in RFP/RFQ preparation and implementation, contract negotiation and management
— Support benchmark pricing for area of expertise
— Resolve vendor or contractor issues and claims against suppliers
— Keep informed about new products, processes and recommend those that could be beneficial to company
— Support and maintain relationships with suppliers as needed to see that they are fulfilling their contractual obligations to the company
— Prepare key metric s for department
· Third Task (20%) – Team Development

— Manage a variety of diverse and/or conflicting requests, priorities, and activities across the enterprise
– Provide guidance to others by communicating and reinforcing strategic and tactical plans

– Identify strengths and opportunities for improvement through informal discussions
– Improve business results by identifying more complex problems and opportunities, define requirements and develop solutions to drive the improvement of the sourcing process
· Communication and Documentation
— Maintain open communication through conversation and both formal and informal documents
— Collaborate and proactively communicate supplier selection decisions to impacted internal stakeholders
— Effectively communicate decision requirements and results to management and colleagues as appropriate
Education:High school diploma required
· Bachelor of Arts in business management, purchasing and/or supply chain management, or equivalent industry experience
· CPM/CPSM, CPIM/CSCP, and Project Management certifications or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Experience:
· 5+ years of Procurement/Sourcing experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment
· Experience in a global multinational corporate environment
· Expertise in a broad range of procurement activities, including inventory and supply chain management, technical sourcing projects including those involving close interfacing with other functions such as engineering and quality, and leading-edge procurement practices
· Demonstrated ability to develop and implement robust, creative commodity sourcing strategies which yield measurable reductions in spend
· Ability to lead and influence change in the face of complexity, with strategic and innovative focus, as well as establish and participate in tactical process
· Strong stakeholder management skills
· Ability to leverage networks and relationships
· Capable of influencing and motivating others with new ideas and concepts
· Strong contract management and negotiation skills
· Proven leadership skills of building and leading teams

Available to work on site as required by job; eligible for domestic and international travel several times per year up to two weeks’ duratio
