About the role
Join our thriving Software Asset Management Team as a Software Analyst. An opportunity to use a range of tools, techniques and knowledge to help maximise Ordnance Survey’s investment. You’ll work to ensure that software license use is optimised both from a compliance and commercial perspective.
We are always striving for excellence – you will therefore be expected to identify and implement improvements to our systems and processes to enhance our customers’ experience.
You will be a team player who works effectively and collaboratively with others but can also work independently. With your flexible approach and eagerness to develop on tasks including:

Monitoring Software licences and usage

Fulfilling requests for software from various sources

Working with other teams to provide and manage licences as required
What we’re looking for
If you are interested in joining a team that lies at the heart of what OS is about, we are looking for someone that can demonstrate skills and experience in:

Using software asset management tools (Flexera, SCCM)
-
Microsoft O365 applications – Office, SharePoint
-
Understanding of software types, licensing models and software deployment methods
-
Maintain accurate information in the Software Asset Management tools; ensuring software license entitlements are known and understood

Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
Desirable
-
Knowledge of IT Service Management principles (ITIL)

Interpreting software product use rights / end user license agreements
-
Facilitate the software lifecycle process, ensuring that policies and processes are followed and identify areas of service improvement

OSHQ is based in Southampton, Hampshire but at OS we believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go.
